About key clamp fittings

Our key clamp fittings are made from malleable iron to BS EN 1562 or ductile iron to BS EN 1563 and hot dip galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461. Each fitting supports up to 900kg axial load when its setscrew is tightened to 39Nm, and they are TÜV certified. Powder coating is available on request.

Typical uses include safety barriers and handrails, as well as furniture, frameworks, greenhouses, play areas, trolley bays and gym frames.

Fitting sizes

The size is the end of the fitting code, so a 101-C42 is a short tee for 42.4mm tube.

Common fittings

  • Tees (101, 104): join a rail to a post.
  • Elbows and corners (125, 128): turn a rail through 90 degrees.
  • Crosses and three way throughs (116, 119): connect tubes passing through each other.
  • Base and wall plates (132, 131): fix posts to floors and rails to walls.
  • Swivels (173): set rails at an angle for stairs and ramps.

Fittings FAQs

What tools do I need? Just a hexagon (Allen) key. For rated loads, tighten each setscrew to 39Nm with a torque wrench.

Will your fittings fit other tube? Yes, they fit any standard steel tube of the matching outside diameter.
